Rose is a project manager with over 16 years’ experience gained from working on diverse capital projects in the petrochemical sector. She is a civil engineer with an MBA in strategy and finance, and is also a certified Business Analyst (IIBAR). She has also worked on various enterprise business restructuring initiatives during which she developed business architecture, change management and organization structuring expertise.
During her career she has worked for ExxonMobil, Sasol and PwC in Kenya, South Africa and USA. She began her career as a projects engineer leading teams that were developing and implementing capital projects in oil & gas, both in retail (down-stream) and transportation & storage (mid-stream). She grew into a seasoned project manager assigned to larger complex projects and as a member of the team that developed Sasol’s global PMO. She was the manager of the Sasol Project Academy which developed and rolled out project management certification products such as GAPPS PM, Risk Facilitator certification and Project Sponsor certification. As part of the project talent development initiatives her team designed career paths for project practitioners which were incorporated into the enterprise talent architecture. Her team also developed and facilitated project management training programs.
Prior to leaving PwC to set up her consulting firm, Howard Aidevo Consulting Ltd, she led the establishment of a capital projects advisory service within the Infrastructure practice. Rose has a passion for building capacity in the project management discipline and currently drives the growth of membership in the PMI Kenya chapter.
